The User Experience bachelor's degree program brings you high-level visual and user experience design courses. Analyze and experiment with theory, techniques, and industry-standard tools to understand user experience for a variety of interactive media, such as games, mobile apps, websites, smart-devices, and more.

You'll learn the skills you need to generate research-supported, human-centered designs. You'll also design unique data visualizations and create UI prototypes that make your recommendations actionable.

Courses Include

  • User Experience Design­ - Learn how audience, testing, and psychology affect how users interact with a product or service as well as the UX design workflows and terminology used by the pros.
  • UI Visual Design and Prototyping­ - Apply advanced graphics creation techniques in the design and prototyping of user interfaces to content for a variety of interactive media industries.
  • Systems Design - In this course, you'll use spreadsheets to record, store, and manipulate data. You will also analyze data accessed in actual games using the tools covered in the course and monitor how changes to those data sets affect the dynamics of play.

Courses Include

  • UX/UI for Gaming Platforms­ - Analyze the usability and visual design of game products and create a prototype intended for various gaming platforms, driven by human-centered design.
  • UX Design for Platform Standards - Analyze the usability and visual design of a variety of interactive media products and create prototypes for current and emerging interactive media platforms.
  • Information Visualization - Craft interactive visualizations from raw qualitative and quantitative data based upon case studies from various industries.

Courses Include

  • UX Research Approaches­ - Learn how to use empirical observations to derive hypotheses, test predictions, and analyze the results to formulate recommendations for improving an existing UX product.
  • UX Research Analytics - Visualize data collected and make data-driven design recommendations using both written and verbal communication skills in a research and technical setting.
  • Psychology of Perception - Learn how biological components affect the way we perceive and process information using theories of perception, information grouping, subjective consistency, and contrast effects.
