By combining business essentials with specific entertainment industry topics, you’ll explore new opportunities while becoming a business leader.

Whether you want to work for a movie studio, a record label, a game design firm, in television, or even start your own business, Full Sail University's Entertainment Business programs have the education to get you started.

Working professionals with at least five years of experience in a related field and pursuing the online Entertainment master's degree are eligible for Full Sail's credit-by-examination program. This option allows students to test out of up to five courses in their degree program. They’ll work with their program director and admissions representative to determine which tests best fit their work experience and expertise.

  • Mastery: Personal Development and Leadership - Students explore the concept of mastery from an interdisciplinary perspective, utilizing historical case studies, anthropology, leadership science, and neuroscience.
  • Business Storytelling and Brand Development - Students learn how to implement brand development strategies that help companies become icons within their industry.
  • Business Plan Development - Students draw on their business, management, and technical knowledge to create and develop a formal business plan while receiving feedback from instructors and peers.
  • Final Project: Business Plan - Using a topic they have previously selected, students complete the written business plan and present their ideas to faculty and peers.

Advanced Business Training

  • Executive Leadership - Students explore effective decision-making processes, power and influence, mentoring, leading organizational change, and investing in and managing relationships to achieve business goals.
  • Project and Team Management - Students create a project management plan, and correctly order tasks as they explore the various factors of team management and creating a productive team.
  • Negotiation and Deal-Making - Students explore the skills needed to become a strong negotiator and deal-maker, through instruction in topics such as deal-structuring skills, self-awareness, and negotiation skill development.
  • Digital Marketing - Students learn how to coordinate marketing initiatives across online and offline channels and between desktop and mobile audiences.

Entertainment Focus

  • Entertainment Business Finance - Students identify and evaluate entertainment business opportunities and projects using financial principles, while also learning how to raise the necessary finances to fund a company and/or project.
  • Product and Artist Management - Students learn how to address product management and its unique issues including interconnectivity of artist and product management activities.
  • Advanced Entertainment Law - Students learn how the digital revolution has impacted the entertainment industry and learn strategies for protecting and exploiting rights within the digital domain.
  • Entertainment Media Publishing and Distribution - Students study traditional as well as new digital publishing and distribution methods while addressing issues within the industry such as piracy, social media, and digital rights management.
